Hey, foodie fam!
Ever wondered what really goes on behind the camera at Boboβs Meals? I get itβthose perfectly plated dishes, cozy recipe stories, and drool-worthy reels make it all seem like magic. But the truth is, being a food content creator is equal parts creativity, chaos, and culinary adventure. So today, I’m pulling back the curtain and inviting you into a day in my life as a food blogger.
Whether youβre curious about starting your own blog or just love a peek behind the scenes, welcome to a typical (and deliciously messy) day at Boboβs Meals.
Β 7:30 AM β Morning Routine & Blog Check-In
Coffee first. Always. Once Iβve made my signature oat milk latte (with cinnamon, thank you very much), I check blog stats, emails, and any reader messages that came in overnight. This is also when I schedule posts, respond to DMs, and map out the dayβs kitchen game plan.
Β 9:00 AM β Recipe Testing & Prep
This is where the magic startsβand the flour starts flying. If itβs a recipe day, Iβll pull out my notes, ingredients, and camera gear. I test and tweak until the flavor, texture, and visual appeal are just right. Todayβs featured recipe? Lemon Herb Roast Chickenβcrispy skin, juicy inside, and packed with fresh flavor.
Smells like Sunday dinner, even if itβs Tuesday.
Β 11:30 AM β Food Styling & Photography
With the natural light just right, itβs photo shoot time. I play with angles, props, and plating until it feels just right. Some days Iβm arranging herbs one leaf at a timeβothers, Iβm chasing the golden hour for that perfect glow.
Behind the scenes? Thereβs a lot of plate shuffling, crumbs on the floor, and saying βwait, donβt eat that yet!β more times than I care to admit.
Β 2:00 PM β Editing, Writing & Social Planning
Once the photos are done, itβs time to write. I edit images using Lightroom, prep any video clips, and dive into the blog post itself. I try to make each post feel personalβlike weβre chatting in my kitchen while the ovenβs preheating. Of course, I weave in SEO keywords so more foodies can find their way here.
Then I queue everything up for social: Pinterest graphics, Instagram captions, TikToksβeach platform gets its own flavor.
Β 6:30 PM β Wind Down & Dinner (Usually the Recipe of the Day)
Dinner is usually the dish I made earlier, and yesβitβs still delicious after a few hours on camera duty. I eat with my partner or friends, scroll through your comments, and jot down any ideas that pop into my head for future recipes.
By night, Iβm cozied up watching a food doc or endlessly scrolling recipe inspoβwhat can I say, itβs both work and play.
Being a food content creator is a beautiful blend of creativity, patience, and passion. Itβs about sharing food that brings comfort, inspires confidence, and makes your day a little tastier.
Thanks for hanging out with me behind the scenes! Have questions about blogging or recipes you want to see next? Drop a commentβIβm all ears (and tastebuds).
Until next time, stay hungry and inspired.
